Banner 4

This advertisement was based on YouTube site. Because of how popular YouTube has become with so many people around the world using it everyday. It is a great place to use for advertisements. When clicking on videos now, a lot of the time you will be greeted with them instantly. And YouTube now uses their own YouTube site to advertise a YouTube video advertisement like the one show above. This is advertising the tv programme Primeval, showing what channels it is shown on. This is a good way to promote new programmes and other new things.
Unfortunately many people dislike the new advertisements on youtube as they are often forced to watch them and can feel like a waste of time to people.

Banner 3

This is some sort of exclusive banner for the site IGN, where the banner is used to link with the background image of the site. Although after scrolling down the two become separate. This is a very good way to advertise a game on a game website. It's attractive, unique and interesting.
A bad point about this might be when you scroll down, the advertisement and the background are now longer align, while this is may ruin the idea of those two working together, it shows how the two are actually separate and work together to create the illusion it's all the same one image.

Banner 2

This banner is more a simple watch and click to be sent through a link.
This is advertising free sky+HD box and free  50 pound voucher for M&S if sign up to sky TV with skyHD online. This banner is to persuade people to sign up to sky by drawing them in with free stuff for doing so.
The banner uses a simple Black background with white text throughout it, even this may be simple, the contrast between the two make it more attractive.

Banner

This interactive banner is an advertisement for the upcoming pirates of the Caribbean film exclusively for cineworld cinemas.
The first drop down box allows you to choose from a selection of currently screening films you want to watch.
The second drop down box allows you to choose what cinema you're going to watch the film from a list of locations cineworld cinemas are based in.
The bottom two drop down boxes allow you to select the date and time you wish to watch the film at.
After choosing all your selections, a new box appears underneath "Book now" linked to the cineworld website with the selected choices you chose.
Overall I feel this is much more complex type of banner with which it can be interacted with. It's advertising three things, the cinema, new Pirates of the Caribbean film and also advertising a chance a win 3000 thousand pound if you use this banner to book a cinema ticket.
I think the only thing that stands out in a bad way, would be the image next to the selection boxes. To me it looks abit tacky, to me it seems like it's been photoshop to have a glowing white around it. This may of been to make it more attractive, but it still stands out in a bad and tacky way, especially the bottom which is more obvious against the scroll's colour in the background.
